TODAY - Thursday 25th April

Showers pushing south today, merging to give longer spells of rain at times in the southwest. Drier and sunnier conditions will develop across Ulster through the afternoon and evening. Highest temperatures of 8 to 12 degrees in light to moderate northerly or variable breezes.

TONIGHT

Showery outbreaks of rain lingering in southern parts overnight. Cold with clear spells elsewhere, aside from a few showers near northern coasts. Some mist and fog patches too. Lowest temperatures of 0 to 5 degrees in light northeasterly winds, coldest in the north with a touch of grass frost.

TOMORROW - Friday 26th April

Some bright or sunny spells tomorrow with well scattered showers, some heavy. Highest temperatures of 8 to 11 degrees in a light to moderate northeasterly breeze.

National Outlook

On Friday night, showers will soon die away with long clear spells following. Some frost will set in. Cold with lowest temperatures of -1 to 3 degrees in light northerly breezes.

Saturday will be a cool day with a mix of sunny spells and scattered April showers feeding in over the country, in a light to moderate northeasterly breeze. Highest temperatures of 8 to 12 degrees, mildest in the west.

Mainly dry and chilly on Saturday night with clear spells in a light northwesterly breeze. Lowest temperatures of -1 to plus 2 degrees with some grass frost forming.

Sunday will see the likelihood of more general falls of rain moving in off the Atlantic during the day. Much of the south and southeast may stay fully dry however. Fairly cool with highest temperatures of 9 to 12 degrees. Northerly winds will likely veer westerly.

Unsettled for the early days of next week with rain or showers feeding up from the south. Turning a little milder.
