Met Éireann was one of a host of official partner organisations in what was the 61st edition of the BTYSTE, widely regarded as one of the biggest and best events of its kind across Europe and a key component of Met Éireann’s Education and Outreach activities for the year.

Formally opened by President, Michael D Higgins, the exhibition showcased 550 projects from schools all over the country, attracting thousands of students, teachers, and members of the public through the RDS arenas over the course of three action-packed days.

The Met Éireann team was out in force at the RDS over the course of the three days, taking the opportunity to engage with students and help nurture their love of science, technology and engineering, with visitors to the dedicated stand treated to a display of weather instruments, the augmented reality sandbox, the Met Éireann Quiz and plenty of chats on all things weather and climate.
