It'll be mainly dry and bright for the afternoon with good spells of sunshine and with just a few well scattered showers, mainly in the west and north. Highest temperatures of 7 to 11 degrees with moderate to fresh northwest to north winds, easing in the evening.
A cold night with long clear spells. It will be dry apart from a few isolated showers, mainly in Ulster. Lowest temperatures of -1 to 4 degrees with some frost and possible icy patches developing, as winds continue to ease, becoming light to moderate northwesterly or variable.
A dry cold start to tomorrow with frost in places, but it'll be sunny. It'll stay dry in most places for daylight hours, with the best of the sunshine continuing in the east, but it will gradually turn cloudier from the west through the afternoon and evening. Outbreaks of rain and drizzle will push into western and southwestern counties in the evening. Highest temperatures of 6 to 10 degrees in a light variable breeze.
After a bright and mostly dry start to the week, it will turn duller and wetter, but milder, in the middle of the week, before becoming cooler again with a mix of sunshine and showers later in the week.
Tuesday night:
A cloudy night with rain and drizzle in the west at first and slowly spreading eastwards across the country. Some eastern coastal area may remain dry until early morning. Lowest temperatures of 1 to 7 degrees. It will be coldest in the east, but with temperatures increasing through the night. Light to moderate southerly winds will freshen with the arrival of the rain and drizzle.
Wednesday:
A dull day with widespread rain in the morning clearing eastwards, giving way to more patchy outbreaks of drizzle and misty conditions. Relatively mild with highest temperatures of 11 to 13 degrees. Moderate to fresh southerly winds will veer westerly with the clearance of the rain.
Wednesday night:
Cloudy with outbreaks of rain and drizzle moving in from the Atlantic and spreading eastwards across the country. Mild with lowest temperatures of 9 to 12 degrees with moderate to fresh southwesterly winds.
Thursday:
Starting off cloudy with a band of rain moving eastwards across the country through the morning and afternoon. As the rain clears, it will be followed by a mix of sunny spells and showers. Relatively mild with highest temperatures of 12 to 14 degrees. Southwesterly winds with be moderate to fresh and gusty, stronger on Atlantic coasts.
Friday:
Friday will see widespread showers, some of which will be heavy and with a possibility of hail and thunder. There will be some sunny spells too. It will be colder than the previous two days with highest temperatures of 8 to 11 degrees with moderate to fresh southwesterly winds, stronger on Atlantic coasts.
Further outlook: A mix of sunshine and showers, some heavy and with a possibility of hail, for Saturday, followed by a wetter day on Sunday.
