Thickening cloud with scattered outbreaks of rain and drizzle, will continue to move northeastwards across the country, last to reach the East and Northeast. Damp in places this evening with patchy drizzle and mist. Highest temperatures of 11 to 15 degrees, in a moderate, occasionally fresh south-west breeze.
A band of rain will move into Atlantic counties tonight, pushing eastwards overnight, with clear spells and scattered showers following from the west. Lowest temperatures of 7 to 10 degrees. Rather breezy with moderate to fresh southerly winds, strong and gusty near Atlantic coasts.
Friday will be a breezy day with sunny spells and scattered passing showers, some heavy across the West and Northwest. Highest temperatures of 11 to 14 degrees in moderate to fresh and gusty southwesterly winds, strong in the West and Northwest, before easing later.

Friday Night: Showers will become increasingly isolated for a time early on Friday night. Overnight, scattered showers will feed into western and northwestern coastal parts and a few of these could be heavy. Elsewhere, it should be a largely dry night with just isolated showers. Lowest temperatures of 4 to 7 degrees in light to moderate southwest to west breezes, fresher near western and northwestern coasts.
Saturday: Saturday will bring a mix of sunny spells and scattered showers, perhaps a few of them heavy over the northern half of the country, but the showers will ease and die out from the south through the afternoon and evening. Highest temperatures of 10 to 14 degrees in light to moderate west to northwest breezes. Largely dry and clear on Saturday night with patchy cloud and just isolated showers in the north. Lowest temperatures of 1 to 4 degrees in light variable breezes.
Sunday: Sunday will be a mostly dry day with variable amounts of cloud and sunshine and just the odd light shower. Highest temperatures of 10 to 14 degrees in light easterly or variable breezes. Dry and clear on Sunday night. Lowest temperatures of 1 to 5 degrees in mainly light easterly breezes.
Monday: Dry with long sunny spells on Monday. Highest temperatures of 11 to 16 degrees, coolest in the east in an onshore light to moderate east to northeast breeze.
Further Outlook: High pressure looks set to remain nearby bringing broadly settled conditions in an easterly airflow. A few showers can't be ruled out, particularly in the east with the best of the sunshine and temperatures looking more likely in the west.
