Met Éireann and the Walton Institute, SouthEast Technological University (SETU) have partnered on a project to hire a Postdoctoral Researcher to work on an SFI VISTAMILK Research Centre funded project linked to the research area of agriculture and in collaboration with Met Éireann. VISTAMILK is a world leading Science Foundation Ireland Research Centre for innovative precision pasture-based dairying. Its mission is to positively impact the environment, animal well-being and the health of consumers and to lead the Agri-Food technology sector through innovation and enhanced sustainability across the dairy supply chain. Internationally, the advances developed in the centre will apply to dairy systems in many countries and will be a catalyst for global growth in the Agri-Tech sector. This will be achieved by greatly improving the soil to gut supply chain connectivity, thereby improving resource efficiency, better meeting consumers expectations and improving profitability and resilience.
