Christmas Eve is a busy time for the team of Aviation Forecasters as we have a very important customer, Santa, who will be travelling all around the world delivering toys for all the girls and boys and encountering all sorts of weather along the way!
As Santa enters Irish Airspace, he will experience much warmer weather than in the North Pole and there will also be some mist and drizzle about. Santa is well prepared though, and has Rudolph leading the sleigh with his bright red nose with all the other reindeer stocked up on carrots to help see through the mist and drizzle!
The moderate south to southwest winds expected tonight will help Santa as he parks his sleigh to get all those presents delivered on time. The weather won’t cause any delays for Santa on his epic journey so it is very important for all the children in Ireland to be sure to get to bed nice and early!
