A mix of cloud and bright or sunny spells for the rest of today with scattered showers. Some will be heavy with a chance hail and isolated thunderstorms. Patchy low cloud along the south coast will gradually clear. South to southwest winds will be light to moderate in strength.
Largely dry tonight with clear spells and showers becoming isolated early in the night. Areas of mist and fog will form in light southerly or variable breezes. Lowest temperatures of 3 to 7 Celsius.

Mist and fog will clear on Saturday morning but may linger along parts of the south coast until early evening. It will brighten up elsewhere with sunny spells and isolated showers. However, cloud will gradually increase from the west bringing patchy light rain to western parts during the evening. Highest temperatures of 13 to 16 Celsius but a little cooler where fog lingers. Light to moderate south to southwest winds will freshen near the west coast during the afternoon.
Saturday night: Cloud will increase on Saturday night and there will be outbreaks of rain or drizzle, mainly in the southwest, west and north. Patches of mist and fog will form too. Lowest temperatures of 7 to 11 degrees with light to moderate southerly winds, fresh at times in the west and northwest.
Sunday: Sunday will be mild and quite cloudy with temperatures reaching 14 to 18 degrees. Outbreaks of rain and drizzle will clear from the west and north in the morning. Mist and fog patches will also clear but may linger near some southern and eastern coasts. Otherwise it will be generally dry apart from the odd light shower, with light to moderate southerly winds, fresh at times towards Atlantic coasts.
Sunday night: Isolated showers early on but otherwise mostly dry with a mix of cloud and clear spells. Patches of mist and fog will form in light to moderate southerly winds. Lowest temperatures of 9 to 12 degrees.
Monday: After a cloudy start with a few light showers, it will brighten up with some hazy sunshine developing. Highest temperatures of 14 to 18 degrees, coolest near the south coast due to a light to moderate southerly breeze.
Monday night: Dry with clear spells. Lowest temperatures of 6 to 10 degrees with a light to moderate south to southeast wind.
Tuesday: Warm and sunny with highest temperatures of 14 to 19 degrees, in a light to moderate south to southeast breeze.
Tuesday night: Dry with clear spells, before cloud builds in the northwest later. Patches of mist and fog will form in light southerly or variable winds. Lowest temperatures of 6 to 10 degrees.
Wednesday: A few showers possible in the afternoon but otherwise dry with a mix of cloud and sunny spells. Highest temperatures of 14 to 20 degrees, warmest in the south and east where it's likely to be sunniest.
Further outlook: Nearby high pressure looks likely to bring plenty of dry weather for the rest of the week, with daytime temperatures generally getting into the mid-teens.
