Last week 3 buoys recorded phenomenal waves off the west coast which lasted for four days. The M6 buoy approximately 200 miles off the west coast measured a mean significant wave height of 9.8m for the period 6th to 9th January inclusive with a peak significant wave height of 13.5m on the 6th. The buoy also measured an individual wave of 22.7m on the same day.
The M3 and M4 also recorded individual waves of 17 and 17.3m respectively during this period of high seas.
