Today

Very wet and windy this morning due to Storm Bert with widespread heavy rain causing flooding in some areas, particularly in the south, southwest and west. The rain will clear the east around lunchtime but showery rain will move in from the west and southwest through the afternoon and evening and will be heavy at times with hail and thunder possible. Very strong and gusty southerly winds, will decrease moderate for a time before increasing strong and gusty again by evening time, strongest in the south and southeast. Highest temperatures of 12 to 15 degrees.

Tonight

Windy tonight with showery rain, heavy in places with spot flooding will continue to track eastwards across the country with clear spells and scattered blustery showers following from the west to all areas by morning. Lowest temperatures of 5 to 9 degrees in fresh to strong and gusty south to southwest winds.

Tomorrow

A windy day tomorrow with sunny spells and scattered heavy showers, most frequent for Atlantic counties where they will merge to longer spells of rain at times, particularly in the west and northwest. Highest temperatures of 9 to 12 degrees with strong and gusty south to southwest winds with gales or strong gales near coasts, strongest in the west and northwest.
