Wet across much of Munster, Connacht and south Leinster today. Rain will be heavy at times this morning and may cause spot flooding. Other areas will be drier with patches of drizzle and mist, although scattered showers will likely move in from the east in the afternoon and evening. Highest temperatures will range between 8 degrees in the south and 18 degrees in the north, with light to moderate variable winds, occasionally becoming fresh and gusty.

Tonight

Staying cloudy this evening and tonight but the rain will become patchy and linger through the night. Counties in the north will stay largely dry however. Light winds and lowest temperatures of 5 to 8 degrees.

Tomorrow

Cloudy and dull to begin with outbreaks of rain and drizzle, becoming more persistent for a time during the afternoon with limited sunny spells. Light winds and highest temperatures of 11 to 15 degrees.
