TONIGHT

Tonight will be cold and largely dry with long clear spells and the odd light shower. Lowest temperatures of -1 to +4 degrees with frost developing and the chance of icy patches in light to moderate northwesterly winds.

TOMORROW - Tuesday 25th November

A dry, cold and bright start tomorrow with frost in places. Remaining dry and sunny for most through the day. It will turn cloudier in the west and southwest later in the afternoon with patches of rain and drizzle near west and southwest coasts tomorrow evening. Highest temperatures of 6 to 10 degrees in a light variable breeze.

National Outlook

After a bright and mostly dry start to the week, it will turn duller and wetter, but milder, in the middle of the week, before becoming cooler again with a mix of sunshine and showers later in the week.

Tuesday night:
A cloudy night with rain and drizzle in the west at first and slowly spreading eastwards across the country. Some eastern coastal area may remain dry until early morning. Lowest temperatures of 1 to 7 degrees. It will be coldest in the east, but with temperatures increasing through the night. Light to moderate southerly winds will freshen with the arrival of the rain and drizzle.

Wednesday:
A dull day with widespread rain in the morning clearing eastwards, giving way to more patchy outbreaks of drizzle and misty conditions. Relatively mild with highest temperatures of 11 to 13 degrees. Moderate to fresh southerly winds will veer westerly with the clearance of the rain.

Wednesday night:
Cloudy with outbreaks of rain and drizzle moving in from the Atlantic and spreading eastwards across the country. Mild with lowest temperatures of 9 to 12 degrees with moderate to fresh southwesterly winds.

Thursday:
Starting off cloudy with a band of rain moving eastwards across the country through the morning and afternoon. As the rain clears, it will be followed by a mix of sunny spells and showers. Relatively mild with highest temperatures of 12 to 14 degrees. Southwesterly winds with be moderate to fresh and gusty, stronger on Atlantic coasts.

Friday:
Friday will see widespread showers, some of which will be heavy and with a possibility of hail and thunder. There will be some sunny spells too. It will be colder than the previous two days with highest temperatures of 8 to 11 degrees with moderate to fresh southwesterly winds, stronger on Atlantic coasts.

Further outlook: A mix of sunshine and showers, some heavy and with a possibility of hail, for Saturday, followed by a wetter day on Sunday.
