It'll be mostly cloudy this afternoon, and while there'll some scattered outbreaks of rain here and there, there'll be a good lot of dry weather overall for a time. However, storm Bert will send in more showery rain from the west and southwest through the afternoon and evening and will be heavy at times, with hail and thunder possible. South to southwest will generally decrease moderate or fresh for a time this afternoon, stronger in coastal parts of the south and west, but will generally strengthen again this evening, strongest in the southwest, south and southeast. Highest temperatures of 12 to 15 degrees.

Windy tonight with showery rain, heavy in places with spot flooding will continue to track eastwards across the country with clear spells and scattered blustery showers following from the west to all areas by morning. Lowest temperatures of 5 to 9 degrees in fresh to strong and gusty south to southwest winds, reaching near gale to gale force in southern coastal parts for a time early tonight and towards morning in western coastal parts.

A windy or very windy day tomorrow with sunny spells and scattered heavy showers, most frequent for Atlantic counties where they will merge to longer spells of rain at times, particularly in the west and northwest. Highest temperatures of 9 to 12 degrees with strong and gusty south to southwest winds with gales or strong gales near coasts, strongest in the west and northwest.
