Southeasterly winds will strengthen in the southwest too, increasing fresh to strong and gusty. The rest of the country will stay largely dry apart from isolated showers, with light to moderate south to southeast winds. Lowest temperatures of 6 to 11 degrees.

Sunday will be wet and windy with the rain extending northeastwards through the morning, heaviest in the south and southeast with intense falls at times causing flooding. The rain will also be accompanied by fresh to strong and gusty southeasterly winds, with onshore gales on southern and eastern coasts. Highest temperatures of 10 to 15 degrees.
