Today

Widespread showers, with heavy thundery downpours through the course of the afternoon and evening, particularly over parts of Leinster, Connacht and Ulster with the risk of localised spot flooding. Misty too with hill and coastal fog. Top temperatures of 18 to 22 degrees. Light to moderate southeast winds will veer southwest later.

Tonight

Heavy rain with thundery bursts will continue for a time across parts of Ulster early tonight but will clear away to the northeast soon after midnight. Cooler, clearer weather will follow with a few showers along Atlantic coasts. Minimum temperatures of 11 to 13 degrees. A few mist patches will form under light southwest breezes

03 August 2017 - Very Hot Weather Now in Southeast Europe

A cold front extending from the middle of France up through Germany is keeping much of Northwestern Europe in a showery slightly cooler than normal airstream. However, to the South of this front, a large area of high pressure that is almost stationary is bringing very hot weather to many parts of Southern and Eastern Europe at the moment.
